WHAT ARE THE RULES?

Passengers must remain seated at all times with your seatbelt securely fastened. No high-fiving or touching pedestrians. Having fun is required.

IS FOOD ALLOWED ON THE OFF THE CHAIN BIKE BUS?

You are more than welcome to bring food on.  However, we would recommend the food be an item that will not easily fly away.  Our bike has storage space and 2 built in coolers that have limited room for your food, ice and non-alcoholic beverages.

CAN I BRING ALCOHOL?

At this time we don’t have permission from the City of South Lake Tahoe to allow alcohol on board. Please respect this rule as our Tour Concierge will have their eye out for those sneaky flasks. If alcohol is found on board, it is the Concierge’s job to dispose of it to protect our licensing. Don’t worry there will be plenty of opportunities to drink along the route and we have arranged for some fantastic drink specials.

WHAT IF WEATHER IS BAD ON TOUR DAY?

South Lake Tahoe generally has great summer weather, but occasionally we do get rain and wind. Be sure to check your weather apps on tour day and be prepared for the conditions. We party and you will have a blast rain or shine! If severe weather does occur prior to start of tour, Off the Chain Lake Tahoe reserves the right to offer a credit. We will not offer a credit if the tour has already started.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY?

Private Tour Refund Policy: Changes and cancellations are allowed up to two weeks prior to tour commencement without penalty. Changes or cancellations within two weeks are subject to a $200 cancellation-change fee. No shows and changes or cancellations within 72 hours are subject to a full charge. No exceptions.

Public Tour Refund Policy: Changes and cancellations are allowed up to 72 hours prior to tour commencement without penalty. No shows and changes or cancellations within 72 hours are subject to a full charge.

SHOULD I TIP MY TOUR CAPTAIN?

Your tour employees greatly appreciate any gratuity, but tipping isn’t required. Our employees work very hard to ensure you have a safe and fun experience. Standard etiquette suggests that tipping ranges between 15-20%. Feel free to use your own judgment based on your experience.
